“Sustainable by Design” what does it mean?

Our vision is to produce all our hand made greeting cards and jewellery from materials that are sustainable.  This means using vintage books and papers sourced as local as we can.

We limit the use of paper in our marketing trying to use digital marketing such as email, our website and other communications. All our card stock is sourced from renewable sources as are our envelopes and even the cello envelopes which are bio degradable.  We also end out our deliveries in recycled boxes so don’t be surprised to get a delivery in a Thorntons Easter egg box or some other bizarre source!

We are just introducing a new range of brooches that have been designed on ‘Tagua Nut’ a totally natural and renewable stock material which is also colourful and contemporary.

We will tell you more soon.

See us at Richmond North Yorkshire! The Drawn to Stitch exhibition

Zamsoe is taking part in an exhibition at Richmond Station, North Yorkshire as part of the artist group the design crew’.  If you get the chance please come along.

The ‘Design Crew’ met originally while studying at Cleveland College of Art for a BA in Textiles and Surface Design, graduating in 2010.  Members of the ‘Crew’ showcasing their work in the Drawn to Stitch exhibition are Mame Goodchild, Elizabeth Ingledew, Heather Monaghan, Julie Nichols, Debbie Turnbull and Karen Wanless.

The Drawn to Stitch exhibition is the culmination of the work undertaken at college, which not only embraces traditional skills but also celebrates contemporary design style.  Although each member of the group retains their own sense of creativity and strong individual identities, it is held together by the common belief and desire that art and design should be exciting, stimulating and fun. The inspiration for this exhibition has been drawn from their own individual interests, reflecting nature, families and personal  life experiences.  This rich flavour is revealed using drawing, painting, print and stitch in the hope that each person visiting the exhibition will take something a little different from this happy patchwork.
